Looks like the Whatcom Dressage club is hosting a schooling show on Sun. May 6th. Put it on your calendars.

There will be a used tack sale at the horse show this week-end. If you have any items you would like to sell, tag them with name and price and give them to me to take.

We are schooling on Sat at 2:00 then the show is all day Sun. If you come to watch be warned, it is always very cold down there, dress warm.

Home safe and sound. Had fun, went up to Boulder and Idaho Springs and checked out Denver itself. Sunny every day, snowed once but otherwise was lovely weather. Graham spoke at a school (all day including an assembly) Tues, interesting to see him in that capacity. We learned quite a lot about his war experience. Hope we are back to decent weather here, and normal activities.

We had water and the tractor started. Hooray! Today was a much better day! Tomorrow should be rain and then we worry about flooding. Oh well all in a day at the barn. They (the horses) are all worth it though.

Yesterday was not fun. The water tank froze so we had to get water from the outside water troughs. After a visit from the well man last night; we should be in better shape today. Horses are going out for 1/2 a day today, then it is supposed to warm up. It is so much better without the wind.

No lessons, can’t even use tack it is so stiff. Roads are pretty drifted in. Hope this is our winter!

At  least the snow and freezing should be over by Fri. It has been beautiful but the wind certainly changes things. The horses are all fine, they are staying in today with a little arena turn-out.

Kudos to our staff. Ro, Mia, Dani,  Braddon and Aleina have braved the roads and cold and done yeoman service. It takes 3 times the effort to clean feed and turn-in and out in this weather so they deserve a huge thank-you.
